Inspired by the beautiful Angels on the Rood screens of St Michael and All Angels church in Barton Turf, Norfolk and painted with lots of lovely gold paint and ink which shimmer in the light.
Thrones are the third order of the first hierarchy of Angels, the Counsellors. They support the throne of God. They are intensely spiritual, having presence, strength and humility that enables them to be symbols of justice and authority.
